Peanut Butter Cat Toast

Breakfast

Your kids are sure to love this toasted breakfast of kitten cuteness in the morning. Start by cutting the crust off toasted bread to create the ears and then smear with peanut butter to create the kitty’s face. Add cheese for a distinctive cat character — and raisins serve as the eyes, nose and mouth. For whiskers, line with pretzel sticks, a perfect combination with peanut butter, for a salty crunch. When you serve this peanut butter cat toast with an 8-ounce glass of milk, you give your kids the milk they love, with protein they need, to give them a good start on the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice – white bread
  • 2 tablespoons – reduced-fat creamy peanut butter
  • 2 – dime-sized and shaped pieces of mozzarella cheese (from cheese stick)
  • 4 – raisins
  • 6 – pretzel sticks
  • Pair each serving with:
  • 8-ounce glass of milk

DIRECTIONS

Toast bread until golden, trim the crust of the top side of the bread to make pointy cat ears. Spread with peanut butter.

Place cheese side by side in the upper third of the bread and top each piece with one raisin (horizontal) to make the eyes.

Below the eyes, place one raisin for the nose. Cut remaining raisin into small strips and arrange strips into a curved cat mouth.

Place three pretzel sticks on either side of the nose in a fanned arrangement to make the whiskers.

Serve with an 8-ounce glass of milk.
